Pete: What’s the last thing you remember?
Kristen: I was in the stockroom unwrapping this mirror that came in, and then… a bright flash of light… And then—
Kristen: Yeah. Like the whole world just disappeared, and all that was left was cold and darkness and—
Myka: And silence.
Kristen: Yeah. It was horrible. I’d never felt so alone.
Myka: It’s okay.
I loved this moment sfm. Even though it almost broke my heart. Because its a reminder of just how strong Myka is. Even years later that silence is still there in her memory. I mean just look at her face: She’s back there - even if just for a moment. And all that terror of the possibility that she would be trapped there, in that cold, dark, unending silence is still with her and you can see it on her face. And what does Myka Bering do? She uses that experience to connect with this terrified woman they need to get information out of. And she doesn’t do it just as an interrogation technique, she does it because this is a human being who is scared and hurt and who Myka can help by sharing a little of her own pain.
THIS is how you character, show.
#oh no i just thought of something terrible #in her own way #myka knows a little bit of what helena must have gone through in the bronze #the silence and being so completely alone and detached from the world #not knowing whether anyone was going to figure it out and save her #oh god #oh god #is this why she’s so protective of helena against rebronzing her? #because she could barely stand it for a day let alone a century? #and she knows how that could break someone? #god damn i hate this fucking show #headcanon vomit #every time i start thinking and analyzing i find a new level of pain
All the feels…
